This Skill Set course provides introductory digital skills and knowledge for business services roles, such as clerical, administrative, operational, or customer service positions across various industries. It prepares students for employment or further training.
Course Units:
- BSBOPS203 - Deliver a service to customers
- BSBTEC201 - Use business software applications
- WP097 - Pre-apprenticeship Work Placement Coordination (Elective)
The course includes a mandatory work placement component, requiring students to complete a minimum of 5 days in the workplace to achieve the qualification.
Learners are expected to have basic reading, writing, communication, and math skills, including basic computer literacy. Some may need encouragement to build self-confidence and support with study management skills. While digital literacy levels may vary, all learners will benefit from guidance in this area.

- Secondary school aged persons (in 2025, students born on or after 1 July 2007 who are at least 15 years old in 2025) undertaking training that is not part of a VET Delivered to Secondary Schools program, the maximum course (tuition) fee chargeable is $420. Additional resource fees and discretionary fees may apply.
- VET Student Loans for eligible courses and fee caps may be subject to changes implemented by the Australian Government.
