Central Regional TAFE Geraldton campus has dedicated Hair, Beauty and Massage training areas, including two Hairdressing salons, one Beauty salon including Vichy shower, a massage clinic and makeup room.

The salons are managed and supervised by qualified lecturing staff with a vast range of industry experience in each area. The salons are open for a variety of services where students practice their skills to meet industry standards. Open salon days are available to all students and external clients at a reduced cost, however not all services are available at all times, as this is determined by the units being delivered.

What to expect

On your first visit to Evolution Hair Beauty Massage salons you will be asked to complete documentation that will be applicable for each area, such as personal details, a disclaimer you are aware that a student will be providing the service and medical history, where required.

All services are performed by students only. At the completion of your service, the student will invite you to complete a feedback form. Please use this opportunity to give constructive feedback on their strengths and weaknesses, to allow the student to reflect and learn from the service.

Appointments

Appointment duration varies dependant on the service offered in each area, you will be provided an estimate of how much time to allow when you make your appointment. However, you must allow extra time for all services while students are in training.

In the interest of health and safety babies and primary school aged children are not permitted in the salon work areas. We are not able to accommodate them during your service.

If you are unable to make your booked appointment, please be courteous and cancel it. Also, if you are late for your appointment, please understand that your service time may have to be shortened accordingly.

Trim, Style Cut, Colours, Foiling, Colour Correction, Chemical and Protein Straightening, Perming, Head Neck and Shoulder Massage, Blow Waving, Braiding and Up Styles

Men’s Hair

Trim, Style Cut, Colours, Beards, Moustaches, Tracks and Carvings, Head and Face Faces

Beauty

Waxing, Facials, Massage, Lash and Brow Tinting, Aromatherapy, Tanning, Microdermabrasion, Hot Stone, Manicure and Pedicure, Make up, Body scrubs and Wraps, Indian Head Massage and Relaxation Reflexology.

Massage

Relaxation and Remedial Massage, Sports Taping and Monitoring conditions with Remedial Massage, such Sciatica, Frozen shoulder, headaches and tennis elbow.
