Semester dates can vary between portfolios, so please check with your teaching area for exact dates.​​

2024 Semester 1

Monday 29 January to Friday 28 June

Term 1   29 January - 28 March
Term 2 15 April - 28 June


2024 Semester 2

Monday 15 July to Thursday 12 December

Term 3 15 July - 20 September
Term 4 7 October - 12 December

Application and enrolment dates

Direct Applications

Self-paced, part-time, online, skill sets or short courses

Dates for enrolment will vary depending on the course you have selected and the campus you would like to attend. Enrolments for self-paced, part-time, online, intensive or short courses can be taken at any time throughout the year. 

TAFE Admissions Applications

On-campus full-time courses

You will need to apply for our full time courses ahead of time to ensure you are considered for a place in the course. Applications are made through TAFE Admissions Online (a system used by all TAFEs in WA to process student applications for popular courses).

Self-paced and part-time courses

Applying through TAFE Admissions is not required, direct enrolment with us is accepted for these courses.

What if you miss the closing date?

Don't worry you can still express your interest in the course as there may still be vacancies. If it has started or the intake is full, our team will help you find another suitable study option.


TAFE Admissions Key Dates - Semester 1, 2025

Applications for our Semester 1, 2025 courses open on Friday, 6 September.

 

Friday 6 September, 2024

Applications open for our on-campus full-time courses starting in Semester 1, 2025.

Friday 1 November, 2024 

You can change your preferences by logging in via TAFE Admissions Online(opens in a new tab) .  Up to this date, you can:

  1. Add new preferences, for any course
  2. Change the order of the preferences
  3. Cancel preferences
  4. Change the campus of an existing preference

 

Competitive courses - Wednesday 4 December, 2024

Offers are available online at TAFE Admissions Online (opens in a new tab) and will be emailed from 12 noon using the email address supplied in the application.

Non-competitive courses - Wednesday 6 September, 2024 to Friday 24 January, 2025

Offers are made throughout the intake for courses that are not competitive.  Offers are available online at TAFE Admissions Online (opens in a new tab) and will be emailed.

Late applications open Saturday 2 November, 2024

Late applications will be accepted for courses not filled through the main intake. Not all courses will be available during this period, and applications will only be considered if places are still available.  Students are encouraged to apply during the main intake of applications to maximise the chance of success.

Late applications close Friday 13 December, 2024

Late applications close. Applications received after this date will be palced on the waitlist.

Waitlist applications open Saturday 14 December, 2024

Waitlist applications will be accepted for courses not filled throught he main intake and late applications. Not all courses will be available during this period, and applications will only be considered if places are still available.

Waitlist applications close Friday 7 February, 2025

No further offers will be issued after this date, and students who missed out are encoursaged to apply in Semester 2, 2025.

There are different ways to apply depending on the course you have chosen. Each course page will take you to where you need to go via the Apply Now beside your chosen location.
