The Fitzgerald Street campus offers training in industry simulated learning environments in the areas of health, education, community services, construction, building, rural industries, mining, metals, art, automotive, hospitality, business, management, information technology and more. While the BCMI is renowned globally for its marine research and breeding facility and the newest campus to the Geraldton area, Technology Park hosts a variety of courses with industrial and heavy duty capabilities for servicing and training.
Facilities
The Aboriginal Learning Centre at our Geraldton campus provides a welcoming learning space and support for Aboriginal students, and hosts events which share and celebrate Aboriginal culture and education.
We support our Aboriginal students in achieving their full potential in their education and training journey. We have Aboriginal support staff across all our campuses that are ready to support you in your education journey.
Situated in Health and Care Services (HCS) training building (H Block), the Childrens Services training area offer a creche to staff, students and visitors to utilise while on campus. Children can play in a safe and stimulating environment while being supervised by fully qualified Early Childhood Education and Care lecturers with years of experience, and Diploma and Certificate III Early Childhood Education and Care students.
This service is available to anyone attending an appointment, class or similar at the Fitzgerald St Campus and is a great opportunity for our students to gain on-the-job training as well as a fantastic service for parents of children in the early childhood range.
Availability: Mondays and Wednesdays (subject to availability). Hours: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, School terms only.

As well as our creche, Bambi Child Care (Fitzgerald Street) is a childcare business that is also conveniently located on campus at Y Block.

The Cibatek Centre at the Geraldton Campus allows currently enrolled students 24/7 access to modern computing facilities. All the computers have Microsoft Office and multimedia software installed. Students can also access a range of other services including internet access, printing, photocopying and scanning.
If you are a currently enrolled student and would like after-hours access to the Cibatek Centre, speak with our friendly Library staff members to arrange.
Central Regional TAFE Geraldton campus has dedicated Hair, Beauty and Massage training areas, including two Hairdressing salons, one Beauty salon including Vichy shower, a massage clinic and makeup room.
The salons are managed and supervised by qualified lecturing staff with a vast range of industry experience in each area. The salons are open for a variety of services where students practice their skills to meet industry standards. Open salon days are available to all students and external clients at a reduced cost, however not all services are available at all times, as this is determined by the units being delivered.
The Central Regional TAFE Library and Bookshop services offer students a huge range of physical and online resources to support you on your study journey.
All students of Central Regional TAFE automatically have library membership. This lets you access our physical libraries and the resources they offer. It also means you can access an extensive range of eResources at any time. Whether you’re on-campus or off-campus, all students can make the most of the information and library support services that we offer.
You can order-in lunch and dinner Monday to Friday from the TAFE's Me-N-U Cafe.
Ample free parking is available on campus with designated accessibility parking bays available. Extra parking is also available opposite TAFE on Fitzgerald Street. See Campus Map for more details.
Pepperell Student Accommodation Village has been designed specifically to suit the student lifestyle. All apartments are furnished and provide space for studying. Feel like staying in? You can order-in lunch and dinner Monday to Friday from the TAFE's Me-N-U Cafe.
If you are wanting to relax and reset, Pepperell Village has you sorted. Our common room with a pool table, basketball court, computing facilities and barbecue area are exclusively for our residents to enjoy.
The Zeewijk Training Restaurant is an essential part of the training for our hospitality and commercial cookery students. Students are required to participate in every aspect of managing the restaurant from taking bookings to menu planning and preparing the meals in our skills kitchen.
We invite you to support our students and enjoy great cuisine in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Health and Community Building Renovation Plan
From late February/early March 2026, Central Regional TAFE will begin upgrade works on the Health and Communities building on the Geraldton Campus.
The project is part of Western Australia’s State-wide Cladding Audit and will ensure the building meets the new National Construction Code 2022 standards.
Project timeline:
- Start: Late February/early March 2026
- Completion: Early 2027
What to expect:
- Safety first: The Health and Communities building is safe to occupy while works are underway.
- Minimising disruption: Works will be staged, and noisy activities are planned during study breaks where possible.
- Regular updates: Progress reports and any changes that affect you will be shared by email, on the intranet, and around Geraldton Campus.
Frequently asked questions
The Health and Communities building cladding complied with standards at the time of construction. However, under the updated National Construction Code 2022, new requirements mean the cladding must be replaced.
Yes. The building is safe and fitted with a modern fire safety system, including detection, warning, and firefighting equipment.
The upgrades are required to bring the building into line with current national codes and standards.
No, every effort is being made to retain all classes and training in their current locations and classrooms.
Where possible noisy or disruptive activities will be scheduled during study breaks and outside of peak teaching times.
Noise testing may also be undertaken during the project.
You’ll receive regular updates via email and see notices on campus digital screens. Lecturers and staff will also be briefed so they can support you.
