Ways you can study

On Campus (Full or Part-time)  

Face-to-face classes on campus. Classes can be held during the day or in the evening. Study for both options may be self-paced for some courses.

Flexible Delivery

Study when and where suits you. You may complete course requirements in person on-campus or via online learning. Timeframes for completion are flexible and in many cases these courses are open for enrolments all year round.

Blended Delivery

Offers the best of both worlds. It provides a combination of online study  with on-campus classes.

Intensive Blocks

Gain a qualification in a reduced timeframe and with minimal class time. Intensive courses combine classes with flexible learning, where students complete course work in their own time.

Online

Flexible and self-paced using innovative learning tools, whilst still having access to a lecturer and online class interaction. Some online courses may require on campus class time for practical components or assessment.

Virtual Classroom

Students from other regional campuses can participate in a class being held at another campus via remote conferencing. 

Pre-Apprenticeship

Enables you to experience what it would be like to work in a trade before you make a commitment to working or gaining an apprenticeship in that trade. 

Pre-apprenticeships do not require you to have an employment contract, and are commonly Certificate II qualifications in a trades industry.

Apprenticeship

A full-time employment-based training program usually lasting 3-4 years. It combines on-the-job learning with scheduled training blocks at TAFE.

Traineeship

A Traineeship is a full-time employment based training program usually lasting 12 months or more. Combines on-the-job learning with scheduled training blocks at TAFE.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) 

Acknowledges your formal and informal learning gained through previous training and education, past and current work experience and life experience.

Advanced Standing

Workplace Assessment & Verification of Competencies

A CR TAFE trainer and assessor completes an assessment of a person’s knowledge and competencies whilst on-the-job / in the person’s workplace. Options vary across qualifications and campuses.

VETDSS or PATiS

Students who are still at school can complete a national recognised qualification in years 11 and 12. They will gain a better understanding of a specific career pathway, and increase their opportunities for further study or work.
