A range of full qualifications will be FEE FREE (resource fees may apply) and Job Ready Skill Sets are fully FEE FREE!
The WA Government's continued funding of the FEE FREE initiative will support the successful reskilling and upskilling of Western Australians for work in a variety of priority sectors.
FEE FREE courses continue to include options to train for work in healthcare and social assistance, information and communications technology, building and construction, transport, hospitality and tourism, and agriculture.
Applications are now open for FEE FREE training places in 2025.

We are serious when we say we want to help you get skills ready! We have worked closely with WA industries, businesses and employers to find out the types of skills needed right now and for future jobs.
These free skill sets are made up of units of competency from nationally recognised vocational education and training (VET) qualifications, you will receive credit for them if you choose to go on to further study. Some are also available for blended or online study.

Fee Free:
Get into training with no course fees!* Fee free courses (opens in a new tab) are designed to get you trained in high priority areas like healthcare, IT, building and construction, and hospitality, to help build WA’s skilled workforce.

½ price:
Take advantage of Low Fee* courses(opens in a new tab) reduced by half or more – some by up to 72%! There’s also an annual fee cap of $400 for jobseekers, youth up to age 25 and concession holders, and $1,200 for all other students. The Lower fees, local skills initiative offers qualifications with skills that employers are looking for.

Job Ready skill sets are a great pathway to get new skills, plus the units you complete will count towards a full qualification, if you choose to continue studying. We are taking enrolments and applications for Semester One, 2025. Some courses are very popular so you will need to apply in advance via TAFE Admissions to secure a place.
For other courses, you can enrol directly with us. Some of our campuses also take enrolments all year round meaning you can start your studies at any time.
