Embark upon your career in the health sector in this rapidly growing field.

If you're interested in working as an assistant in specialised healthcare such as occupational therapy, dentistry, nutrition, diversional therapy, speech pathology or a range of other allied health areas, this is the course for you!

A professional career in allied health can provide you with many opportunities to work in different healthcare settings — from small local medical centres through to large private and public hospitals, to schools and private medical practices, as well as in specialised facilities or organisations providing allied health services such as community rehabilitation and mental health clinics.

You'll learn how to deliver therapeutic support to allied health professionals, gaining skills and knowledge to recognise healthy body systems; confirm physical health status; and support people with chronic diseases and dementia. You will also gain knowledge of safe work practices, legal and ethical considerations, and current industry standards.

This course includes work placement or live works in a Group 1 or Group 2 industry as outlined in COVID-19 mandatory vaccination policy.  For the latest information on vaccine requirements for students visit our COVID-19 update page.
