The resource and mining industry is booming in all areas. This qualification will prepare you for roles such as a production operator, working in metalliferous processing facilities or coal preparation and treatment plants, or performing tasks involving a broad range of skilled applications in a varied work context, using some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures along the way.
Trainees are employed on a live mine site, with the latest plant and equipment.

To attain this qualification, you are required to successfully complete thirteen (13) units of competence, comprising four (4) core and nine (9) elective units selected from the options provided below. On-the-job learning must also be completed to attain this qualification under Traineeship arrangements.
