This skill set meets the State Government requirement to be an Authorised Implanter of microchips in cats and dogs in Western Australia as per the legislation (Dog Regulations 2013 regulation 9 and/or Cat Regulations 2011 regulation 7).

As an Authorised Implanter you will have an additional skill set that improves your employability and value as a Local Government Ranger.

This qualification is also suitable for cat and dog breeders who wish to microchip their own animals, as well as groomers, pet washers, pet store employees, and those wanting to start their very own microchipping business.

Following the 3-day workshop you will have 6 months to answer knowledge assessments, provide evidence in portfolios of your skills, as well as complete a microchip logbook of 10 dogs and cats under a qualified veterinarian of your choosing.
