In these unprecedented times, industries need workers to manage infection control while in the direct care of others.
There is increased opportunity for new workers to pick up skills in direct care and progress to an entry level role.
In an era of COVID-19 infection control, gain the skills and knowledge required to provide entry level support and basic client care for a range of roles and purposes within the aged care and disability support sectors.

CR TAFE requires students to undertake work placement as a part of this skill set.
- Students will be required to complete at least 30 hours of work placement in an aged care or disability support environment to use introductory care practices to support fully qualified carers.
- Lecturers must have access to the students' workplace to they can train and/or conduct observations in the workplace.
- The workplace supervisor will be required to verify that the student has performed the tasks as recorded in the workplace assessments and they were performed to the industry standard.
- Practical application of knowledge and skills in the workplace may be taking place concurrently if the student is already in the workplace, otherwise it will occur during work placement.

- Secondary school aged persons (in 2025, students born on or after 1 July 2007 who are at least 15 years old in 2025) undertaking training that is not part of a VET Delivered to Secondary Schools program, the maximum course (tuition) fee chargeable is $420. Additional resource fees and discretionary fees may apply.
