This course is half price for everyone (excl. school students) as part of the Lower Fees, Local Skills initiative. Fees are also capped at $1,200; or $400 if you're aged 15—24 or eligible for a concession. Find out more here.

Become a Remedial Massage Therapist
You will gain high level skills to determine and assess a client's massage needs, and plan and conduct a remedial massage based on a knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and using skills in a wide range of soft tissue massage techniques. You will also learn how to work safely and ethically in a health care environment, and to communicate effectively with clients and healthcare workers.
This is the perfect course for anyone wanting to expand their existing skills and knowledge, or even step up into operating their own massage practice.

- Have good time-management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks
- Have good communication skills to interact with others respectfully
- Be able to develop sound computer skills and the use of software applications for online study (as required) and the workplace and to undertake research
- Be comfortable with appropriate physical contact with individuals of differing cultures, genders and ages
- Be able to manage work health and safety procedures
- Be able to work with others and relate to and respect people from a range of cultures and backgrounds
- Be interested in anatomy and physiology which forms part of the learning content
- Sufficient physical ability to stand and/or bend to perform clinical postural assessments
- Sufficient physical ability to stand and/or bend and apply remedial massage techniques for extended periods of time
- Be aware that undertaking some remedial massage treatments will require clients to discreetly disrobe to briefs
