RTO Entry Requirements

Students must participate in an interview with the lecturer (face to face or phone) prior to enrolment. Students must complete a Client Needs Form provided by the lecturer prior to enrolment. This form is designed to record the specific needs and/or additional requirements identified by the individual client that may affect their chances of successful participation in and/or completion of the course Students are required to complete the LLN assessment (via LLN Robot) prior to participating in the course. Students MUST have access to a ‘supervisor’ who holds either the:

• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or
• TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment,
. plus TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills
. and TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools

This information and evidence is gathered from learners seeking entry into the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment:

• Current or proposed area for teaching and assessment
• Evidence of relevant vocational unit of competency and/or qualification and/or
• Details of industry knowledge and experience.
• Access to a group of at least six individuals to deliver training (four of these must be young vocational learners)
• Access to three individuals to assess competance
• Access to a computer
• An active email address
• Access to and ability to use the internet.
• Ability to email, attach documents to emails, and web search
• Ability to use Microsoft Office 365 software: Word and Excel (headers and footers, copy and paste, page numbering, referencing)

School Leaver C Grades in Year 11 WACE General English, and OLNA; or NAPLAN 9 Band 8 Non-School Leaver C Grades in Year 11 English and Maths or equivalent AQF Certificate II or Certificate III.

Certification

Upon successful completion you will receive a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Regulatory Requirements (Licensing)

Achievement of this qualification by trainers is a requirement of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015.
· To assess candidates against the core units of the TAE40122 qualification (with the exception of TAELLN422) assessors must hold the TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or the TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or they must be able to demonstrate equivalence of competencies (specified in Assessment Conditions in the Assessment Requirements for each unit of competency)
· Independent validation will be undertaken in accordance with Standard 1 Clause 1.25, requirements of Schedule 2 and Glossary definitions of ‘independent validation’ and ‘validation’.
