Both versions of this course require basic computer skills such as file and folder management, internet usage and document writing.
On Campus (Classroom)
This course will suit you if you can attend regular classes and want to develop creative skills using popular Adobe applications, such as Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
The electives for this course have been chosen to provide a range of skills across the digital media field including; image, video and sound editing, 3d modelling and animation, graphic design and layout and introductory web design and scripting.
You will need to:
- Be able to work independently and with others.
- Be able to apply problem-solving skills
- Have good attention to detail and creative thinking
- Have sound written and oral communication skills
- Be able to follow instructions, work health and safety procedures
Online (Self-Paced External)
This course will suit you if you need to be flexible with your study time and want to learn how to build a website from scratch without using a website generator such as Canva or Wordpress.
The electives for this version of the course have been chosen to develop web design and development skills from introductory to intermediate. No prior knowledge of web development is required.
You will need to:
- Be able to work independently.
- Be able to download and install software from the Internet
- Be able to communicate via online methods such as email and chat
- Be technically minded
- Be able to apply analytical and problem-solving skills
- Have good attention to detail and creative thinking
- Have sound written and oral communication skills
- Be able to follow instructions, work health and safety procedures
