In this course you will learn about the following:
Stage 1
The first six units in the sequence provide learners with a sound, broad-based foundation of knowledge and skills relating to safe work practices, legislation, infection control and providing individual support.
Stage 2
Stage 2 units are aimed at further expanding the knowledge and skills of learners in areas relating to working with diverse people, supporting people with dementia and recognising and understanding the impact of health conditions in relation to ageing and/or disability.
Stage 3
The units in this stage relate to working in the disability sector supporting skills development using a strength-based approach, community participation and social inclusion including delivering care services using a palliative approach.
