Study Mode On campus

Duration 8 Weeks

This course provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to use a limited range of basic jewellery‑making techniques to create fundamental jewellery pieces from simple design concepts. The program involves researching and understanding jewellery design techniques to support the development of finished pieces. It is suited to individuals who have general design, drawing, or craft skills and are beginning a career in the visual arts. Participants typically have little or no experience in jewellery‑making and work under close supervision with guidance from others.

The course addresses an identified skills gap in the creative arts, particularly in hands‑on, face‑to‑face learning environments. It is designed for adult learners, hobbyists, artists, and small business owners who wish to upskill or explore foundational jewellery‑making techniques. It also supports students, job seekers, and individuals seeking personal or professional development in creative fields.

Throughout the program, learners will gain practical jewellery‑making skills that may lead to employment pathways, further study, or personal enrichment through artistic practice. Face‑to‑face delivery ensures participants receive hands‑on experience, immediate guidance, and essential safe‑handling instruction when working with metals. This learning mode is ideal for those who thrive in interactive, practical environments where they can collaborate, experiment, and learn by doing.
