Gain the knowledge and skills to communicate and work effectively in the community services sector, developing and managing community programs, promoting social, emotional and physical wellbeing, responding to critical situations, managing service delivery, developing policy and research, coordinating volunteers, developing and maintaining professional networks, working with cultural diversity, ethical behaviour and legal responsibilities.

- Must be over 18 years of age
- Able to work with a National Police Clearance that is free of any criminal conviction
- Able to communicate well in English with clients, families and community members
- Able to perform manual lifting tasks in personal care work
- Can work through confronting content on topics such as sexual abuse, childhood trauma, domestic violence and drug and alcohol abuse
- Can maintain positivity and be respectful, resilient and empathetic
- Can maintain confidentiality, uses initiative and leadership skills
- Strong communication, consultation, problem solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to understand and develop managerial skills

- Fees may differ between campus locations due to the difference between elective units in the course study plan or a need to adapt courses to meet local industry needs.
- Fees may also differ for individuals depending on units of study selected, prior qualifications and recognition of prior learning (RPL).

- Concession rates: If eligible, proof of concession must be presented.
- Concessions and the secondary school age fee cap do not apply to commercial courses (short courses), or Foundation Programs (i.e ESL and General Education).
- Secondary school aged persons (in 2025, students born on or after 1 July 2007 who are at least 15 years old in 2025) undertaking training that is not part of a VET Delivered to Secondary Schools program, the maximum course (tuition) fee chargeable is $420. Additional resource fees and discretionary fees may apply.
- VET Student Loans for eligible courses and fee caps may be subject to changes implemented by the Australian Government.
