With our Certificate III in Tourism, you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the ever-evolving tourism industry. Guided by experienced professionals within the tourism sector, you will gain competencies in the following areas:

  • Customer Approach: Developing the ability to provide outstanding service to tourists, ensuring their needs are met while creating memorable experiences.
  • Sales and Promotion: Learning to effectively sell tourism products and services, whether it's offering tour packages, accommodations, or experiences to
    travelers.
  • Destination Knowledge: Gaining in-depth knowledge of various tourist destinations, their attractions, and the ability to guide tourists to make informed choices.
  • Communication Skills: Mastering communication techniques to engage with travelers, answer inquiries, and resolve issues professionally and effectively.
  • Administrative Proficiency: Acquiring skills in administrative tasks relevant to the tourism industry, such as booking management, record-keeping, and
    processing payments.
  • Safety and Compliance: Understanding the importance of safety regulations and compliance within the tourism sector, ensuring tourists' well-being.

This qualification has been replaced and is currently in a teach out period. Students will be informed by their lecturer whether they will be required to transition to the current qualification. In this case, there may be some non-equivalences where students may have to complete additional units.
