Learn Welding Basics
Welding is a fabrication process that joins materials, usually metals or thermoplastics, primarily by using high temperatures to melt the parts together and allow them to cool, causing fusion. This course provides an opportunity for the greater community to participate and engage while working with metal and gaining a UoC. The course is run after hours to make this opportunity available to the working community. The unit will be delivered using a very hands-on, practical approach; however, some very basic mathematical skills will be needed.
The course is delivered over an 8-week period (each term) in 3-hour evening sessions, commencing 5pm-8pm on Wednesday nights.
This course will cover:
- RIISAM205E Cut, weld and bend materials [OBV95]
