Carnarvon is a coastal town situated approximately 900 kilometres (560 mi) north of Perth, and 479 km North of Geraldton, Western Australia. Renowned for its banana plantations and stunning landscapes, the town was established at the mouth of the Gascoyne River (Gwoonwardu), on the Indian Ocean.

The popular Shark Bay world heritage area lies to the south of the town, and the Ningaloo Reef and the popular tourist town of Exmouth lie to the north. Within Carnarvon is the Mungullah Aboriginal Community. Inland, Carnarvon has strong links with the town of Gascoyne Junction and the Burringurrah Community.

The Carnarvon campus was established in 1988 and delivers approximately thirty qualifications (including Short course and Skill Sets) to 300 hundred students each year. Training is offered in foundational skills, agriculture, horticulture, health, hospitality and more.

Facilities

Our computer lab is located on the upper floor of the campus. It is fully equipped with workstations, software, internet access, and student printer facilities to encourage students to undertake their studies in a welcoming environment.

Parking is available on the street surrounding the campus. There are designated parking bays available for people with disabilities.

Located on the lower level, the common room is a welcoming space for students to recharge and relax during study breaks. It is equipped with a microwave, fridge, and tea/coffee making facilities.

A public initiative to responsibly recycle electronic waste such as batteries, modems, cell phones, tablets, laptops, digital cameras and other electronic goods.

A compact trades workshop is located on site that caters to industry relevant training in the fields of carpentry, building and construction and a number of short courses including safe working at heights, chainsaw operation and welding.
