Carnarvon is a coastal town situated approximately 900 kilometres (560 mi) north of Perth, and 479 km North of Geraldton, Western Australia. Renowned for its banana plantations and stunning landscapes, the town lies at the mouth of the Gascoyne River on the Indian Ocean.



The popular Shark Bay world heritage area lies to the south of the town, and the Ningaloo Reef and the popular tourist town of Exmouth lie to the north. Within Carnarvon is the Mungullah Aboriginal Community. Inland, Carnarvon has strong links with the town of Gascoyne Junction and the Burringurrah Community.

The Carnarvon campus was established in 1988 and delivers approximately forty qualifications to around 600 students each year. 

Training is offered in art, hospitality, business and administration, financial services, information technology, general education, conservation and land management, clothing production and printmaking, community services, marine, engineering and more.

Facilities

Crèche

Located on the lower level of the building our crèche incorporates both an indoor and outdoor play area. It is supervised and is a safe, happy and comfortable place for your children, aged from 8 weeks old to primary school, to attend while you are in class.

Monday - Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm

During TAFE term

Computer Lab

Our computer lab is located on the upper floor of the campus. It is fully equipped with workstations, software and internet access to encourage students to undertake their studies in a welcoming environment.

Flexible Learning Room

Equipped with computer facilities to assist students to study and complete courses at their own pace and in their own time.

Parking

Parking is available on the street surrounding the campus. There are designated parking bays available for people with disabilities.

Student Common Room

Located on the lower level, the common room is a welcoming space for students to recharge and relax during study breaks. It is equipped with a microwave, fridge, and tea/coffee making facilities.
