Learning facilities and experiences
The Geraldton campus has been designed to support hands-on learning, student wellbeing and career development.
Students learn in realistic training environments that reflect workplace standards and expectations. Depending on their course, students may gain experience in specialised training facilities that support practical learning across health, community services, hospitality, trades, business, information technology and many other industries.
The Aboriginal Learning Centre provides a welcoming space where Aboriginal students can access support, connect with culture and participate in activities that celebrate Aboriginal knowledge, culture and community.
The centre plays an important role in supporting Aboriginal student success and creating an inclusive learning environment for all students.
Students have access to library services, learning resources, study spaces and computer facilities that support both on-campus and flexible learning.
The Cibatek Centre also provides currently enrolled students with access to modern computing facilities and study resources.
Several Geraldton campus training facilities provide students with opportunities to gain practical experience while delivering services to the community.
This includes the Evolution Hair Beauty Massage Training Salon, where students work alongside experienced lecturers, and the Zeewijk Training Restaurant, where hospitality and commercial cookery students gain experience in a real-world restaurant environment.
The campus provides a welcoming environment where students can study, connect and recharge throughout the day.
Students have access to a range of amenities including study areas, student common spaces, food services, free parking and support services designed to support student success and wellbeing.

The Central Regional TAFE creche provides a supervised learning environment for children while students attend classes and appointments, while Bambi Child Care also operates from the Geraldton campus precinct.
Students relocating to Geraldton for training may be able to access accommodation through Pepperell Residential Village.
Located close to campus, Pepperell Village provides a supportive student living environment with furnished accommodation, study spaces and shared facilities that help students make the most of their training experience.

One of Western Australia's leading maritime, aquaculture and environmental training centres, offering specialist training, research and industry engagement opportunities.

Health and Communities Building Renovation Plan
From late February/early March 2026, Central Regional TAFE will begin upgrade works on the Health and Communities building on the Geraldton Campus.
The project is part of Western Australia’s State-wide Cladding Audit and will ensure the building meets the new National Construction Code 2022 standards.
Project timeline:
- Start: Late February/early March 2026
- Completion: Early 2027
What to expect:
- Safety first: The Health and Communities building is safe to occupy while works are underway.
- Minimising disruption: Works will be staged, and noisy activities are planned during study breaks where possible.
- Regular updates: Progress reports and any changes that affect you will be shared by email, on the intranet, and around Geraldton Campus.
Frequently asked questions
The Health and Communities building cladding complied with standards at the time of construction. However, under the updated National Construction Code 2022, new requirements mean the cladding must be replaced.
Yes. The building is safe and fitted with a modern fire safety system, including detection, warning, and firefighting equipment.
The upgrades are required to bring the building into line with current national codes and standards.
No, every effort is being made to retain all classes and training in their current locations and classrooms.
Where possible noisy or disruptive activities will be scheduled during study breaks and outside of peak teaching times.
Noise testing may also be undertaken during the project.
You’ll receive regular updates via email and see notices on campus digital screens. Lecturers and staff will also be briefed so they can support you.
