The Drone Conservation Skill Set course is designed for the increasing use of remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) across the conservation, land management, and natural resource sectors. Industry has identified a growing need for workers who can use RPAS technology for tasks such as environmental monitoring, mapping, inspection, and data collection in remote or hard-to-access areas.

The Drone Conservation Skill Set course is designed to be fit for purpose, focusing on the practical application of RPAS as a tool within conservation work rather than as a standalone aviation outcome. The delivery structure of the Drone Conservation Skill Set course reflects real-world operational workflows, progressing from planning and hazard identification through to field-based operations and data processing.
