This qualification reflects the role of individuals who work in a range of human resources roles. The job roles that relate to this qualification may include Human Resources Officer, Human Resources Coordinator and Payroll Officer. Responsibilities are likely to be determined at a workplace level. Some smaller organisations may require employees to work across all aspects of human resources. In larger organisations, individuals may support a single human resources function.

Across industry sectors there is a demand for skilled human resources personnel who are able to carry out the functions relating to employee relations. This includes skills in employee and industrial relations, recruitment, onboarding, conflict resolution, policy development and general employment management. These skills are crucial for aligning staff competencies with organisational goals and engaging teams and stakeholders effectively. 

This qualification is for individuals who perform the human resources function within an organisation as well as those seeking to satisfy the Entry Requirements for BSB50320 Diploma of Human Resource Management. Typically, those individuals working in direct human resources or in support administrative roles and seeking a formal qualification, to further their capability in this field.

By completing this qualification students will gain the skills and knowledge to work in various role within the human resources function in an organisation as well as meeting the entrance requirements for the BSB50320 Diploma of Human Resource Management. Potentially, individuals may be eligible for Human Resource Advisor supervisor roles. They should be able to apply Human Resources skills and knowledge in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors.
